When selecting a size, allow enough room for the product, thermal liner, coolant packs and any protective void-fill material. Avoid choosing an unnecessarily large box, as excessive empty space can affect the consistency of a temperature-controlled shipment.
Thermal Protection for Sensitive Products
The reflective liner creates an insulating barrier around the contents of the box. Its foil surfaces and enclosed air-bubble layer help reduce heat transfer into or out of the package, supporting a more stable internal environment during storage and delivery.
These insulated delivery boxes can be used for chilled, frozen or ambient products. For shipments requiring active cooling, combine the box with a suitable quantity of conditioned gel packs or cool packs.

How the Insulated Box Liner Works
The thermal liner uses reflective foil and an enclosed air-bubble layer to help limit heat transfer through radiation, conduction and convection.
Once assembled inside the cardboard box, the liner surrounds the products and forms a protective thermal barrier. Closing the liner securely helps reduce the influence of changing external temperatures during delivery.
The packaging slows temperature change but does not actively cool the contents by itself. Chilled and frozen shipments should therefore be packed with appropriately conditioned gel packs or cool packs.
How to Pack an Insulated Shipping Box
For effective and consistent performance:
- Assemble the cardboard outer box.
- Open and position the thermal liner inside the box.
- Pre-condition the products to the required starting temperature.
- Add the products and the appropriate coolant packs.
- Use suitable void-fill material where necessary to reduce movement and space.
- Close and secure the thermal liner.
- Seal the cardboard box ready for dispatch.
Coolants should be distributed around the products according to your tested packing method rather than placed in only one area of the box.
