How Our Container Liners Prevent Condensation

Our reflective thermal container liners are scientifically designed to:

  • Reduce Condensation: Vapour barriers and sealed edges prevent internal moisture build-up.
  • Maintain Stable Temperatures: Thermal layers reduce cold bridging and heat transfer.
  • Increase Energy Efficiency: Reflective foil surfaces bounce radiant heat away or back in, depending on climate conditions.

For best results, we recommend insulating the full container (not just the roof) and ensuring adequate ventilation in humid conditions.

Our container liners are designed for effortless installation and come in two insulation options. Our best-selling ThermaPack Ultra Double offers a highly effective radiant barrier at a competitive price. Each kit includes made-to-measure rolls with adhesive backing for easy positioning.

Performance Comparison:

🔹 ThermaPack Ultra Double (Best-Seller)
● Ideal for storage containers, maintaining a stable internal temperature.
● Made from true aluminum foil for superior insulation.
● 4mm thick, yet equivalent to 55mm of polystyrene in performance.

🔹 EcoQuilt (Highest Performance)
● Best for container conversions into offices, living spaces, or temperature-sensitive storage.
● Features 2 layers of wadding-laminated foil and 3 layers of radiant foil, separated by wadding.
● 15mm thick, yet performs like 75mm of polystyrene.

Fixing Instructions – Container Liner Insulation Kit Preparation:

● Ensure the walls, roof, and floor are dry, clean, and free of grease or dust before installation.

Installation Steps:

1. Insulating the Walls:
○ Start with one wall section, beginning at the center of the back wall and working forward to the middle of the front door.
○ Repeat with the second wall section, again starting from the center of the back wall.

2. Insulating the Roof:
○ The roof insulation comes in two rolls for easier handling. Install them after completing the walls.

3. Insulating the Floor (if required):
○ Once the walls and roof are in place, apply insulation to the floor.

4. Sealing Joints & Edges:
○ Use the included silver foil joining tape to fully seal all edges and joints. Incomplete sealing can allow moisture to pass through, leading to condensation.
○ Use a strong brush to firmly secure the insulation to the walls.

IMPORTANT:
❌ Do not adhere the membrane into vertical apertures—it should lie flat against the wall. This
ensures maximum thermal efficiency.

FAQ

What are insulated shipping container liners?

Insulated shipping container liners are thermal protective layers fitted inside shipping containers to help maintain a stable internal temperature during transit and storage. They are designed to reduce heat gain or loss, protecting temperature-sensitive cargo throughout the supply chain.

These liners are widely used in cold chain logistics, long-distance shipping, and temperature-controlled transport where product stability is critical.

What types of goods require container liners?

Insulated container liners are commonly used for pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, and other perishable or temperature-sensitive products that require controlled storage conditions.

They are also used for non-perishable but sensitive cargo such as vehicles, furniture, and commercial goods, where protection from temperature fluctuations, condensation, and environmental exposure is important during transit or storage.

How do insulated container liners work?

Insulated container liners work by using reflective foil and bubble insulation technology to reduce heat transfer through radiation, conduction, and convection.

This helps maintain a more stable internal environment inside the shipping container by reflecting external heat away and slowing temperature changes, protecting cargo from extreme ambient conditions.

Can container liners be used for international shipping?

Yes, insulated shipping container liners are suitable for both domestic and international shipping. They are commonly used in long-haul and export logistics to help maintain consistent temperature conditions throughout extended transit times.

When used as part of a complete thermal packaging system, they help ensure products remain within safe temperature ranges even during complex global supply chains.

Are insulated container liners reusable?

Many insulated container liners are designed to be reusable, depending on the material quality and handling conditions. When properly maintained and stored, they can be used across multiple shipments.

Reusable liners offer a cost-effective and more sustainable solution for businesses with ongoing temperature-controlled shipping requirements, helping reduce packaging waste over time.
